Hello!
In this post, I'm going to do a super detailed review of a blouse I bought in February. This blouse is called "Misty Doll Blouse" and it was released this year (!!) in January 2025. It's from the brand Angelic Pretty, and I bought it in-person at the Marui Annex Angelic Pretty shop!
First of all, this blouse is so comfortable. It's 100% cotton, which is something I have really come to value in my wardrobe. Nothing I say about cotton is news, but cotton is the best fabric ever. It's breathable, long-lasting, and looks and feels high quality!! Another thing that makes this blouse comfortable is the cut - it's an A-line cut, fitted just at the shoulders and flaring out at the hem. I got it in the L size, in the black colorway, and paid $123 (¥20,900)(the yen was especially weak during this time).
This is the first Angelic Pretty blouse I have ever owned, and I have been extremely happy with it! I'm just in love with the sleeve details. Here is what Angelic Pretty says in their blurb about the blouse: "A cute round-collar blouse with a large bowtie. The voluminous sleeves are decorated with tied ribbons made from the same fabric, creating a unique design."
Getting to the important stuff - how I style it! I took the detachable bow off of the collar the first time I wore it, and haven't put it back since, oops! A big bow front and center feels very "sweet" to me, and I find it takes a lot of interest away from other aspects of my coords that I'd rather highlight. Luckily, despite the buttons and frills down the front, and the slightly flared cut, this blouse works amazingly both over and under other clothes.
Here is a coord where I am wearing the blouse under a JSK:

I hope I'm able to take good care of this blouse, and have it for a long time! (Also - this is my first time owning a black blouse and lint is never ending!!! How are goths just dealing with lint like it's chill. I have new respect for people who wear black all the time!)
Till next time ~!
