Hello!
I'm back with another post about an item in my Lolita wardrobe. I realized I spoke too soon in my last post - Nameless Poem by Ista Mori is the only *long sleeved* OP I own, because I also own this *short sleeved* OP! This piece is called "Classic Floral Print OP," and it's by the well-known brand Bodyline. As we all know, Bodyline is infamous for multiple scandals, one of which is wildly varying quality of items. For this OP, I've found that it's great quality. I bought it on Feb. 4, 2024 on Lace Market, and it's stood up to many wears. I hope to have it in my wardrobe for a long time.
There are a lot of things about this dress that make it comfy, flattering, and fun to style! I feel like the print on the printed part of the dress is very "grandma's couch" or "goblein-adjacent," and therefor has a lot of colors in it. Because of this, I often style it with cream, dark green, and various shades of wine or red. The cut of the dress is also something I really enjoy, there's not a waist seam, instead there are seams across the chest and down the dress, which are highlighted by red ribbon stitched into white lace. I feel like this makes the overall flow of the dress very satisfying. At the hem there are scallops, which are very cute and doll-like. The last thing I want to highlight about this dress is the solid-colored parts at the neckline and hem. This shade of wine/bourdeux, burgundy, purpley-red, whatever you want to call it - is one of my favorite colors. Having the solid pieces at the top and bottom of the dress really help to block out the general coordinate.
This dress comes with two accessories: a bow/pin in burgundy, and a second bow/pin in burgundy with a string of pearls attached. I was lucky enough that both these items were with it when I purchased it secondhand! As for the fabric of the dress, it is listed on Lolibrary as "polyester and other" - I feel that at least the goblein part of the dress must be a mix, as the texture is so couch-like. But I'm no expert!

I've owned this dress for just a little less then a year, and I've worn it for a few special occasions. First, I wore it to for my 24th birthday party! Second, I wore it to my first ever meetup with my local Lolita Comm. Both are memories I'll treasure, and forever associate with this dress.
